[Bug Report] TS /Ra2/YR - Tooltips malfunction
In the Steam version (tested TS, RA2 and YR ), the in-game Tooltips (the pop-up text that appears when hovering over units/buildings) does not function. Note: For verification, I tested a pirated 1.001 version of YR ,and the Tooltips works normally there. BTW, what happened when the voices of the three Hollywood heroes in the Allied mission were replaced with GI's voice?
Trying to install C&C 1 from the the original CD, but I'm getting errors
I have a PC that I've NEVER put online, running Win XP Pro (32-bit version: 5.1.2600 SP3, build: 2600) with an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Processor, nor will I ever put it on the internet. When trying to run INSTALL.EXE on the CD, I'm getting this message, "Unable to load SETUP.MIX file from CD-ROM disk. Press any key after inserting CD_ROM disc or press ESC to exit." Mind you, the CD is in the drive, which is how I was able to click on the INSTALL.EXE file. With Windows Explorer, I can clearly see the SETUP.MIX file. Why then am I not able to run the install?!?
PC: Red Alert 3 Game wont start with original Hardcopy Licence
The game doesent start, repair and reinstalling doesent help. Starting in Admin Mode seems to lunch a ancient login mask, where key validation fails due to "being offline". Probabbly a Licencing Problem any Ideas? Check screenshots Thx for help! Cheers Tom
I Can't install and play the original "C&C The First Decade" disk on iMac 2013
Has anyone had the same issues while installing the game? When I installed the original C&C The First Decade CD ROM, but when I tried to get the game started, my iMac doesn't seem to support it. The CD ROM box says Windows OS...no Mac so I'm assuming I would need something to make it work. I then went to the EA website and I was able to download and install the EA App and I found the game under "All EA games under one roof" catalog, strategy genre. However, when I select the any of the C&C options, I get the following error when trying to upload the page: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading http://www.ea.com (see browser console for more information)." Can anyone help?
Support refused for legacy C&C Generals with proof (Case #242030733)
Hi everyone, I am a long-time fan and legal owner of the physical Command & Conquer Generals Deluxe Edition and Zero Hour. Since my current PC does not have a disk drive, I wanted to have these legacy games entitled to my EA account. I have contacted live support twice today (Case #242030733). I provided high-resolution photos of my original discs, the box, and the serial keys. I even included a personalized note with my name, date, and email in the photo to prove I physically own the items right now. Shockingly, both advisors (Niranjan and Parpaj) insisted that I must contact the "retailer" for a receipt. This game was purchased nearly 23 years ago (around 2003)! It is physically impossible for any retailer (like D&R in Turkiye) to provide a receipt after two decades. I find this request very unreasonable for a legacy product. I am attaching my proof of ownership here. Can a Community Manager please look into this case and help me add these classics to my library? I just want to play the games I legally own. Thank you for your time.
Unable to Play Zero Hour
I am unable to load my Challenge progress in Zero Hour - whenever I try to the loading screen comes up for the General vs General but then it immediately says "Defeated". I'm playing the game through the EA App and it's the full licensed version of the game (no cracks, illegal copies etc). I've never had an issue until went to play it today (save file is from 4 month ago), when the game closes I get a prompt that some files are corrupted and the app offers a repair. 5 times I've repaired so far and still it's a problem. I've already attempted the license key "fix" of adding the dashes into the default key under HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\ergc but that hasn't fixed it. I've also tried modifying my options.ini file as I've seen in places online but still no joy :-( EA doesn't seem to offer support for this title according to the list of games to raise issues with via their site so I'm hoping that someone can advise what is going on and how I can fix this...
C&C Red Alert 1 freezes for some seconds
Hi. I have a problem with Red Alert Command & Conquer The game freezes for a fiew seconds over and over again. And the display turns black and the game apears again. the ea app also is not responding i repaired the game but no result. i run it as admin. does it need directx 9? Help me ..
Time for a new C&C Remaster
Hello EA Games and hello fellow C&C fans! The C&C Remastered Collection was a success for EA, both loved by gamers and also sold very well. Just this year C&C The Ultimate Collection went live on Steam and immediately got into the top 20 most popular steam titles where it held for like a month EA's surprise megadump of classic Command & Conquer games means Europe's March game sales were dominated by 25-year-old RTSes, beating WWE 2K24 and Nintendo (article by PC Gamer) It's been 4 years and complete radio silence from EA on the future of C&C as a real RTS game on PC and console, where the series belongs, no offense to mobile gamers. The demand for say a second remastered collection with Red Alert 2, Tiberian Sun or Generals or who knows maybe a completely new title is there and it's real. People on the C&C communities in Reddit and Facebook still ask about it regularly although they're beginning to doubt if we'll ever see something. The release of C&C Ultimate Collection on Steam this March and the huge success it was made fans hopeful that this actually means EA has not forgotten about the series and was planning to do something with it. The guys at Petroglyph and Lemon Sky who did the first remasters have said they're willing to do it again, the community wants it, the games sell well, what more is needed? We're eagerly awaiting to hear back from EA Games as we always have been throughout the years.
