C&C3 version 1.09 doesn't like me. Please Help!
(Running Windows 7 pro (64bit)
Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz processor)
I had played Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium wars quite some time ago maybe 2009-2010, can't remember exactly when but it was an older version, if I had to take a guess I'd say 1.07 maybe? It was on a friends house/ PC, I played it from GDI to somewhere in the Scrin missions, I don't think I finished. any how I played it it was playable, I enjoyed it. I bought my own copy about 3 years ago, had a few issues getting it going, finally found that it only wanted to be installed on the Default (C: ) drive, so I had to get a bigger SSD to fix my probelm. Skip ahead a few years, I get it installed and the game launches and is all kinds of playable, no issue there, but the AI is over aggressive, and hard as hell, some people may like the challenge, but I'm a casual gamer and this thing wiped the floor with me on EASY mode, I had gotten up to the Croatia mission perhaps and that was on Normal mode back in 2009-2010. Now, it's almost an entirely brand new AI that has apparently no actual easy mode. I have Google'd my issue and found a few people having similar issues, or at least had? But I don't think they had the Origin version of the game, because the soultion that seemed to work for them was -runver in the Target bar of the Shortcut, but the shortcut only launches Origin and then the Do you want to play TW or KW window comes up, so this makes the -runver obsolete... -runver is supposed to allow you to run an older version of the game from 1.0 - 1.09...
SO.... My question is: Is there a way to roll back to an older, and Easier version that I can still play? One that doesn't make me feel like I've never played a game in my life? One that works with the Origin version?
I have attempted this game probably over 40 times and each time I'm wiped out within the first 15 minutes... I've beaten the whole GDI campaign before. This is making me Feel stupid and I don't like that. I'm about ready to ask for my refund on this thing.
