Command and Conquer 3 - Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath stuck on preparing

I saw another thread for this but some bogus generic "repair game" instruction by an EA flunky was marked as a solution (everybody replied that it didn't work but there's been no response from EA since the initial "solution"). Starting a new thread to hopefully get some answers.

These games worked fine on the Origin app and, while that launcher was also terrible, it was better than the new EA app. Every time I go to launch either game, I am faced with the option to choose either TW or KW. Whichever one I pick, however, it says "preparing" for thirty seconds and either closes and shows nothing or says "This game hasn't been released yet - Wait until the official release date () to launch Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath." This game came out 17 years ago. 

RA2 Yuri's Revenge had insane graphics lag and instability, too, but I fixed that using the third-party CNC Net launcher. It's amazing that a company as big as EA has to rely on a fan-supported third-party launcher to make a beloved game series work. Mind you, EA are the ones who bought the rights to this series.

I have repaired the game, reinstalled it, reinstalled the EA app, reset my computer, cleared the cache for the EA app and nothing has worked thus far.
