    @EA_Illium I was able to load a previous save and progress through the game as normal

Ran into this as well. In my case chapter 7 in the mining area, right before you hop on the gondola thing. Playing on PS5. 

I loaded up a previous auto save and could see my character. Then i reloaded the save i wanted and Isaac was back. Hope this helps!
