Hi @EzioMaverick Thanks for the update, would it be possible to get a DxDiag?
@EA_Illium I have attached my dxdiag as well as a video.
Notes for the video :
The audio crackling is due the framerate taking a huge hit, down to 5fps.
Also notice how inside the same room, as i approach the door, the frame rate drops, i had my fps counter on but my shadowplay didn't record it.
What was happening in the video was, i was getting 57-59 fps but as i approached the door it would drop down to 23 and drop some more in the next room.
As i walk away from that door, the fps goes back to 59. This is the area where it starts and it continues all the way down, where you do the mission objective in which, the game crashed last time i went there. I haven't played the game since, because before this section, the entirety of chapter one i never had any area that would make the frames drop down to 20s.
And the menu issue was consistent throughout chapter 1, so is the crashing when i change any setting.

Here's a link to a same issue, https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/PC-audio-stuttering/m-p/12274777/highlight/true#M1817
Others in these forums with very high end pcs are having the same issues as well.

@Nasher355 There is no solution, it can only be fixed via a patch, the audio crackling has nothing to do with audio devices or os or anything, its just the game comes down to a crawl to 5fps during the menus which also heavily lags the audio, you can limit any game to 5fps and see the same issues with audio.
Only a patch that fixes the performance will fix this crackling issue.

Hi there
I have the same exact issues you're havingThe one with the door by the first store kiosk (end of chapter one tram station) this whole area right through the room where you pick up the kanesiss module and get out the other end then the game goes back to normal
Occasional sound popping in and out during combat encounters, before the updates it used to happen around the late chapters of the game (chapters 7, 8, etc)
but now after all the recent patches, this issue starts to happen pretty early even when the game is running at 60fps or higherAudio crackling and laggy menus are pretty much there.
Random stutters all over and also when going through doors, some rooms and areas drop the fps for no reason despite playing the game on the lowest graphical settings possible
changing graphical settings does nothing at all (it doesn't improve performance by any means or help with these issues)
Recent updates solved nothing so far when it comes to these issues.
Sorry if I made any English mistakes writing this 🙂

Same issues here, have been exactly the same since PC launch. No patches have fixed anything.
