With medium settings and 4K DLSS balanced I can get 65-80 FPS......for a bit. It runs well, and then seemingly randomly, a cutscene will start or an animation will trigger and the framerate entirely collapses into a 20ish stuttery mess and it never recovers. I drag myself to a save point, save the game, exit to the menu and immediately reload the save. Where I was getting that 20ish stuttery mess, It is now back to 65-80 in the exact same spot, until it inevitably collapse again after a while.

Same here for me. Running on Ryzen 7 5800H + RTX3070 Laptop, 32GB DDR4, Samsung SSD, 1440p, Windows 10. I tried all graphics presets, but eventually all of them have the issue when at some point (mostly after the cutscene) fps drops below 10fps. Sometimes it cures itself in few seconds, but sometimes it requires me to relaunch the game in order to fix it. And it's the same location, the same position near a Save Station where the lag occured it came back to normal fps.

Same here, I monitored my components and I see that my GPU is drawing very little power at these moments compared to what it is supposed to draw, GPU memory usage drops as well.
I encountered pretty much the same thing on a recent game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC and it was fixed after the devs took care of it.
So I guess that all we have to do is wait now...

Yes, agree. I've noticed it as well. Usage just drops for no reason while that fps lag occurs. And mostly it's fixable only by relaunching the game.

really bad frame rates and stuttering. Did all the tweaks and lower the graphics settings still run like *. I paid 89 bucks Australian. We need a patch real fast as consumer.

Graphic card-Intel ARC 750 with 8Gb video memory
OS-Windows 11 64bit with the latest patches

I'm in the exact same boat. Sitting at 80+ for five minutes, then I tank to 22 and can only fix it by exiting to the main menu.

Exactly the same here, 80 - 90 4K DLSS Quality, drops to 28 to 30 after 5-10 mins and the down to a slideshow for cut scenes and does not return unless i quit to menu. Have tried everything and will be refunding if i dont see fixeses soon.

Same issue with RTX3060Ti, Ryzen 5 5600x, 16gb Ram, M.2 and Windows 10, all drivers updated, game reinstalled and happens in every graphics setting on every resolution

Similar issue. I didn't really experience noticeable framerate drop. However, after playing for a extended time like 2-3 hours, a Ishimura loading screen would show up out of nowhere and I had to force close the game and restart. This better gets a fix soon or it'd be literally impossible to clear impossible difficulty.

I have the same issue drops from 70fps to ~15, for me this game is non-playable at this moment. And this is so sad, because I really expect this game to be polished. But i get one of the worst experience I ever gad with PC game. Even GTA IV in 2008 was better than this.
I have R9 5900x + OC RTX 3070 + 64 GB ram + NVMe PCI-E 4 SSD

+1 for the same issue. Except my framrates go from 60fps+ to 3-7fps. Really a shame because it's destroying any atmosphere when a cutscene is ruined and I have to get to a save point at 3fps to restart my game.

I expected it was VRAM since I sit at 8.8-9.2gb and when the stutters occur (likewise, cutscene, new item, new area) it's usually pusing 9.5gb. I tried lowering my resolution from 4k to 1600p but they still occur but can't tell if frequency has changed. Restarting the game makes it work in the same area just fine.
- 3 years ago@TheCookieButter Yup it's a GPU related problem, you should monitor the power consumption and VRAM load, you'll see huge drops when picking up an important item or playing a cutscene, then it goes back to normal after you interact with a save station.
It usually comes back to normal but not all the time.
Nothing players can do here, all we can do is wait for a fix.- 3 years ago

This has reduced the amount the severe drops happen to about 1 per 2 hours if playing but the traversal stutter is still prevalant. Hope this helps some of you.
When i see it creeping in i just save and take a break!
Edit: Ironic we have some level of end user fix before developer/support acknowledgement of the issue, never mind the thread.

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I was experiencing the exact same issues. I opened up task manager to see that my GPU was at 100% usage, but that it wasn't Dead Space that was taking up resources. It was Wallpaper Engine. I don't know if anyone else is going to have the same issues as me, but for whatever reason, on my machine, Wallpaper Engine DOES NOT play nice with DS. Paused Wallpaper Engine and the game immediately stabilized. Haven't had FPS drop below 100 since.
Hope this helps others dealing with the same issues.
- 3 years ago@ThirdWelles Only frame drop I'm still seeing is the occasional hitch at the end of a cutscene, or when transitioning between zones. Minute-to-minute gameplay is back to normal.
