It usually comes back to normal but not all the time.
Nothing players can do here, all we can do is wait for a fix.

This has reduced the amount the severe drops happen to about 1 per 2 hours if playing but the traversal stutter is still prevalant. Hope this helps some of you.
When i see it creeping in i just save and take a break!
Edit: Ironic we have some level of end user fix before developer/support acknowledgement of the issue, never mind the thread.

It isn't ironic that corporations won't invest enough money to patch games we are passionate about, it's just one of the harsh realities of capitalism.
Devs truly are passionate about Dead Space and it shows, I'm sure that they will work to fix this, the problem is EA not wanting to pay for QA and making the end-user the actual tester of bugs, glitches,...
So yeah, we deal with that kind of bull**** because all that matters to them is to save as much money as possible for executives and investors.- 3 years ago
Eh....It's Monday and the game came out on Friday, so I wouldn't hold that against them. It is however an excellent showcase for why (and this absolutely does not just apply to games) releasing a product the day before a weekend/holiday is incredibly dumb.

Alas, victory was short lived, it has come back as bad the further i went (Chapter 2 is a mess) can't fight back or move reliably so have to shelve it again.
@Chris100185 I know and I am being a bit unfair, I have just waited so long for anything new that is more dead space I am just so frustrated. Hi Fi Rush can fill the gap while I wait for an additional patch. VRS toggle patch had no impact.

Thanks. I didn't think it would be but was curious. I'm still under 2 hours but just barely and I'd still like to refund if it isn't fixed soon.
