Can't download patch

I need some help please. I can't get patch 2 of Dragon Age: Inquisition downloaded. It starts downloading then around 230mb it suddenly changes to need over 270TB. I want to play my game but won't let me because of the patch not downloading. I really appreciate help.

I have tried reinstalling Origin. I also tried to repair the game but once it gets to the patch the same problem happens again.

This is on PC.

I have Windows 7 64bit and fully updated.

It's not my specs causing the issue but either something with the patch or Origin.

Hey, please double check your security software, to be sure that Origin and DAI aren't being blocked. Try running Origin as an administrator.

If the issue persists, try clearing your Origin cache. This persists through an Origin reinstall, so earlier reinstalls won't have any bearing on it.

Note that this might trigger a reinstallation of all your Origin Games.

    1. Ensure Origin is fully closed by clicking the Origin Menu and selecting Exit.
    2. Delete the following folders:
    • Origin folder - Found in C:\ProgramData\
    • Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\
    • Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\
    • Note: These folders are hidden by default, and you will need to un-hide to be able to locate them.

Just play offline until they fix it.

  • Considering all the issues the patch causes consider yourself lucky. I would wait for the hotfix.

I will try that. Just got my Windows 7 working properly again. Had some problems due to Windows 7 updates.

I am hoping by deleting those Origin folders it might just fix an offline problem I have in playing Mass Effect 2 and 3 offline. I had to hide Dragon Age: Ultimate edition to an Origin error so I could actually play the game.

I will play Dragon Age: Inquisition offline for a while but will see what reinstalling the Origin games does.

Okay. Got a headache now having deleted the folders. I have to reinstall Kingdoms of Amular because Origin totally ignored the installation and wants to download the entire game. Having problems hiding games too. I also need two games removed from my Origin account.

problem is I couldn´t even load the game to play offline, becuase when I tried origin asked to update, and then when i clicked update it did nothing, removing the folders seems solve the problem

  • I had the same issue as you with not being able to load the game because of the update so I just put Origin into offline mode and it worked.
