Can't Get Past "In Your Heart Shall Burn" Save Data May Be the Problem?
Hello Everyone,
I am aware that there are many issues with DA:I at the moment and that these are being worked on. It's one of the reasons I didn't buy the game at launch I waited until January before I gave in. Thus far I have completed the game with my mage and had no issues, not a single crash or graphical glitch. I was ovbiously very lucky and I would say in the miniority?
On my second playthrough with my archer things have gone well until now. I have reached "In Your Heart Shall Burn" after the cutscene when Casandra tells you "You did it" the game crashes to desktop with no error.
I know this isn't unquie to me but what brothers me is it's only happening with my archer camapgin. I save often and keep all my save files so I was able to reload a save with my mage before this mission. My mage was able to get through the cutscene with no crash and complete the mission without incedent. Annoyed I then rushed a warrior through the early game to reach the same mission and again no crash.
As I mentioned previously I save often I even went back to a save four hours eariler on my archer and played from there. It made no difference it still crashed after the cutscene and it doesn't matter who you side with either.
I have lowered the graphics settings to the minimum and the default, played in windowed mode went offline, disalbed the Origin-overlay thing and cloud save. I've reinstalled the game twice and ran the repair tool several times I've also ran both Origin and DA:I as Admin. Nothing helps saddly does anyone have an idea why it only seems affect one save file?
I have nothing left to do on my archer execpt this mission so she will have to sit idle until I can fix this or it is patched.
I play on my Boyfriend's computer and will list the specs below the best I can:
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K OC @ 4.9 GHz
MOBO: Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX
GPU: Radeon R9 290X 4096MB GDDR5 x 2 (Crossfire?)
RAM: 16GB
SSD: Samsung 1TB 840 Evo Series Solid State Drive (x 2 in raid 0) [1.35 TB of free space]
OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64 Bit
He watercooled the computer on his own and tells me the tempretures are fine. Also we haven't noticed the excessive writing to the SSDs that has been reported by other users. I don't know if this has been fixed or not but as the computer is not mine I won't be able to make any changes other than settings and software.
Thank you very much for your time I hope you can help. 🙂
