8 years agoDragon Age Game Saves won't register as there but are there... help?
So, a few days ago my friend and I went into the Safe Mode menu on her PS3 and did Restore Default Settings because we were trying to reset it to RGB cables. After it restarted we reloaded Dragon Age: Inquisition, only to find that the loads were all gone. I exited the game and looked for the files, all the game data is there, so I reloaded the game and it still thinks the files don't exist. So we decided to go back into the Safe Mode menu, after some searching on the web for answers and coming up with nearly nothing, we then proceeded to read about each option before choosing the option Rebuild Database in hopes the files were merely corrupted and would be restored.
After all was said in done we once more loaded the game in hopes that everything would be normal, but to no avail it was still claiming the saves did not exist. So we decided to follow advice from yet another post we had seen, claiming if we just make a new character we can load up our old one. This failed to work also. Fearing all games might be totally screwed we switched DA:I out for Skyrim and the save data for Skyrim loaded fine. Setting the problem aside we decided we'd live with it as it seemed to only affect DA:I and nothing more at the time. We went about life and prepared to replay the last 20 or so hours we had played on the game.
We went about our days for the next week and come the next time we decided to settle down my friend was curious if it had truly only affected the one game. She was concerned for Dragon Age: Origins as it was her favorite and she had spent over 5,000 hours on several characters. I assured her it was probably fine but to satisfy her whining I put there game in, assuming I was right and only DA:I was effected. However, DA:O is now failing to load trophies all together and is stating along with the error that it is going to force exit the game.
My friend is in tears, and I want to fix these problems, I am unsure why it's only affected Dragon Age games so far (as I have not tested Mass Effect yet and don't care much to do so) but in honor of my friends sanity I would like to know a fix to this. And a fix that is reliable not experimental, something someone did and for sure knows it will work to help fix the game and get the games reading our saves.
I appreciate all the help! Please help us, it's her favorite game and she's had it for 4 years now!! There has to be a fix for this!
