Same issue here.
Actually believe I fixed my issue this morning but I was quite annoyed.
Game randomly crashing to desktop without warning, sometimes right at launch, sometimes in game. Usually can't play more than 10-15 minutes without the game **bleep** out on me.
This morning I switched the game to Windowed Fullscreen and it no longer crashed.
That being said, I CANNOT use Crossfire in Windowed Fullscreen mode, which defeats the purpose of me having 2 top of the line video cards.
I have not yet confirmed if the fix I encountered was due to not using Crossfire, or playing the game in Windowed Fullscreen. I will test later, but either way very frustrated with the game not being able to play it the way I want.

Same problem. I managed 8 hours ingame although the game crashes every 30 min or so. Had to reboot computer today and now it crashes every time after continue and loadscreen.
You guys are lucky(those that crashed after few hours in game), cause me, I crash every freaking 5 to 10 minutes! Well it freezees so I have to force close :') Damn, when I bought the game, I was excited in playing it non-stop but hahaha, the freezes! OH THE FREEZES!! SAVE ME!

GPU: GTX 980
CPU: i5-4460 @ 3.20Ghz
Memory: 8.00 GB RAM
Resolution: 2560 x1440
Driver: 344.75
OS: Win 8.1 Pro
Played for 2 hours yesterday after the install.
It crashed around 1 hour in, "black screen of death", rebooted and it loaded in fine.
Then around the 2 hour mark, the same thing happened. This time however the game would not load.
Black screen, dragon logo bottom right starts flashing (i.e. loading), then after a while goes to "black screen of death" and I have to reboot.
Have tried all the suggestions in the forum here from Reinstalling directX, Graphics driver, disabling origin, etc. Nothing has worked.
Here's my dxdiag... http://hastebin.com/uxewelapud.tex
Hope this gets fixed soon as it's a broken game. Forget the patch... this needs a HOTFIX.

Nvidia hotfix 344.80 with gtx980 fixes.

I am using a gtx980 and haven't had any issues, running @1200p, automatic settings, no AA, as i like a smooth constant 60 fps. (Not sure if this helpful).

Todays ATI catalyst release (14.12) fixed the problem for me. Didn't have time to test if it fixed random crashes, but at least now I'm able to load game.
System:
CPU: intel i7 950
GPU: Radeon HD 5990
Mem: 6Gb
OS: WIndows 7
edit:
Sorry about that. Didn't apparently fix anything. Game loaded one single time and after that it's crashing every time.

The game patch did not resolve my crash issue.

Every time I try to start a new game it crashes the moment the inquisitor gets out of the fade, when the screen is black and the game is loading..It's so infuriating
