[EA app] DAI Stopped Recognizing My Xbox Controller

I have been playing the game through EA App on an XBOX Series X Wired Controller for a few days without any issues. Yesterday, power went out at my house for about 20 seconds. After I rebooted my PC and got Inquisition back up, it displayed a message that no controller was detected. I do not have this issue with any other games, whether on Steam or EA App. Controller is showing up just fine on my PC in Control Panel and mouse & keyboard still works just fine on the game. have tried unplugging/plugging back in the controller, restarting Inquisition, repairing the game, uninstall/reinstalling it, uninstalling/reinstalling EA App, deleting profile settings in documents, restarting my PC, unplugging mouse and keyboard to force it to recognize the controller, nothing helps.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

    @LainsNavi I use a usb wired controller on mine, and when I log in sometimes, it shows the same thing. No controller detected, Sometimes I have to plug in the controller, turn it on, then launch the game.

    I just tested it. I got that error as my controller is off. Then I went into the settings - controls and changed it in the settings even with it being off. Once I turned it on, it saw it and was able to use it.

    I would also recommend downloading the Xbox apps so that you can update the controller on the PC which is just quicker.

    I've tried installing the Xbox App, as well as the XboX Accessories App. I went through the latter to troubleshoot, everything was working fine and I don't see where any update is needed or possible to do through either app

    DAI options won't let me enable a controller because it still says it does not detect an Xbox controller. I've tried launching the game several times with a controller I have confirmed is working and active, it still will not detect it.

    @LainsNavi Earlier when i logged in, it gave me the same error. Now when I log in with the controller plugged in and turned on. i no longer receive the error.

    Can you repair the game and clear the EA app cache?

    Make sure the controller is on and plugged in, then launch the game again. I fired it up on two machines and both just started working so it may just be a temp issue or a local issue with the game like a backend update happened.

  • Clearing the cache and repairing the game have not helped. I already had the controller plugged in and turned on. Still nothing.
