Game freezes at title screen (not black screen)
UPDATE: Viable work around at bottom of this post.
The game will freeze at the main menu, either before of after "click to continue".
If I let it sit there 14 times out of 15 it will freeze.
The 15th time, if I'm quick enough in going : Continue, New Game, or Multiplayer, I can play the game without issue for hours.
The mouse cursor remains moveable, the sound stops and what is happening on screen freezes.
If I am in the menus, it will remain frozen at what menu item I am on.
The freeze can happen at a any place before a saved game is loaded. It can happen before or after 'Click to continue', it can happen while sitting at the main menu, it can happen while setting options.
It does NOT happen if you click New Game and start into character creation.
It does NOT happen after Multiplayer is clicked.
It does NOT happen after Continue (for a saved game) is clicked.
There is a similar post in the Bioware Suggestioned forum here, I'm not alone:

This happened with older nvidia drivers and with the new ones posted Nov 18th (344.75).
It seems random, as I said if I restart on the 3rd, 5th, 15th try I will have enough time to actually get into the game proper and out of the main menu and all is well.
I've tried a lot of things:
- Various game settings (I have to load the game first, setting the Graphic settings restart (sometimes 20 times))
- Several resolutions full screen, windowed, windowed full screen
- Lots of windows tweaking that seems like it works then doesn't because the freeze is consistant, but does let me through sometimes
- Tried leaving the game sit there for an hour (another user did it for 7 hours, same it remained frozen)
- When it is frozen, the CPU stays pegged, bug there is NO movement on anything in Task Manager, no IO, No memory deltas, nada, very weird
The workround is:
Confirmed working (for me at least):
As soon as the game starts, open the Taskmanager, search the "dragonageinquisition.exe", right click it, search "Set Affinity" and disable one or more cores. When you are in the game, do the same to enable all cores back again.
CTRL+ALT+DEL, Task Manager, End Process on Dragon Age, restart, and pray it doesn't freeze before you get a save/new game started.
