Hey,I was doing this quest and had already killed 2 large bears, but as I was about to kill the third and final bear for his claw he froze in place and became unattackable. I wasn't able to see his health or loot his claw. I finally restarted my xbox one and went back in to where he was and he was no longer there. So i spent a while riding/ running around the area looking for another large bear, but never found one. Is this quest set to only ever spawn three of these bears? If so then how can I complete this quest now since another won't spawn? And If not then why can't I find a third bear. The first two I found within a minute of entering the area, but I soent a good hour looking for this last guy after the game glitched. I've been trying to contact support, but the only option I saw was live chat and I'd rather not do that. Is there any way I can email them? Or is there anyone who experienced a similar issue and found a fix?Thank you for your time!

Ok so I decided to go back and have a look around after doing more of the story up to being able to enter redcliffe and i decided on the way to check back on this quest and see if i could find a bear and within 10 seconds of reaching the area i found one so it seems they will respawn once you have done something to update the hinterlands area. Hope this helps anyone else with problems with this quest.

I had a different problem with different quest in that area, an NPC just vanished and game marker showed some place where he was not.Going out of the area by fast travel to the keep and back to the area from the War Room, actually did not affect the quest marker untill I was actually few meters away from the NPC in his original spawning point.Long story short: Try to reload the location 🙂 Might work with bears. Also search area, the item might have dropped, sometimes the drops teleport or are even stuck in rocks or ground.

I had this one as well ---What you have to do is simply leave it be and perform other quests/explore, eventually you'll find that last bear again to finish the quest.However, there is a more funnier bug in that, and I don't know if this will happen to you, but when I finally found that last bear --- all the .......'n bears in Thedas apparently found me too so when I went to attack it, 3 brown bears suddenly spawned.This is a very unstable game my friends, tread carefully. Poor PC community, no love.

So glad, not finishing this was going to drive me insane lol

I also have this problem, I think I know what causes it though it could be just a coincidence but my last bear was at low hp and was killed by those npcs that go stealth and attack you from behind, they also killed one of the dogs that i was fighting around the area and it froze in place as well. Sadly I still haven't gotten my last claw and I searched quite a while without seeing another of those bears.

Sadly I've tried all that and still nothing. I searched for quite a while in the area around where the bear was standing at and couldn't find a drop.

This quest is still bugged for me. No 3rd bear ever. Fix this please...

I haven't been able to find any bear claws,I see the spot on the map but when I go there it's nothing there
