Title says it all, really.
It seems like a few of my companion (Iron Bull and Sera, especially) have disappeared, which is annoying because... well, I want to talk to them. Yes, I've been to their exact location and no, they're not there. I've reloaded a couple of times and they do appear again but more often than not, they're not where they're supposed to be. :catfrustrated:
Having the exact same issue with Iron Bull. This is keeping me from progressing with a story with him. A nasty bug and a common one it seems.
I've had this same issue throughout the whole game. Sometimes they are there, most times they are not. Leliana, Balackwell, Bull, and Cassandra mostly. Cole isn't there but if I stand by where he should be for a moment, he just appears out of thin air. Cassandra is standing there outside because I run into something invisible, but I can't speak to her Bull is in his chair as well, because I cant get all the way up to the chair. Leliana is almost never there. She wasn't at Haven either. Didn't get to even catch up with her until Skyhold, when she was visible. Those characters will not appear no matter what I do. I'm on PC BTW.
Same problem. On the map I would go where the companions are shown and up to now Iron Bull and Vivienne have completely disappeared from Skyhold. I haven't checked whether they are still "there" or not, I just know I went upstairs in the tavern and Iron Bull was in his chair and when I got back down like 1 minutes after he wasn't. I never managed to find out where exactly Vivienne is since I've never been able to see her in Skyhold.
I'm having the problem too, except I just re-started my playthrough (for un-related reasons) and now Varric is missing from Haven.
cant be 100% sure all the time that they should be in there spots, but the collition mesh is there when i can't see my companions.
Most of the times it is "the" iron bull and cole.
I would walk where cole normally stands but something is blocking my path on his exact spot.
seen this happen with cole, bull, cullen, blackwall.
Like the post above, i waited and after some time (around a minute) most of them suddenly showed up
same problem and in the past they all seem to have shown up on their markers eventually. Now Iron Bull and Leliana are missing but even waiting around doesn't seem to be working to get them to show up. Oddly, I have active quests for both these guys right now... coincidence? Anyone? quite annoying since Leliana's is a plot advancing point and I'd really like to talk to her....
Same problem, mostly with Cassandra. Except now since Iron Bull's sitting in his chair in the tavern, he's been invisible too.
I have this randomly too.
Saving/Reloading fixes it for me though.
I have manage to fix this issue but walking up to where they are supposed to be. saving directly in front of them, going out to the main menu and then going back into the game then they reappear right infront of me. Its a pain int he a** but, seems to work for now.
another "repair" if that doesnt work is to save standing in front of them, go to your hero menu> options> graphics and change your mesh Quality. I change it back and forth from Ultra to High/High to Ultra. ( http://prntscr.com/5ddbag ) and then go back to the game and they will again magically reappear standing in front of me.
again, massive pain in the arse but, seems to fix the issue for now until a patch comes out for it.
I too have had issue with missing companions, right now Helisma (the tranquil) is not giving me the update on the war map for the requestion she has of me. Also Leliana is just missing even though the minimap shows where she is suppose to be and she was but ever since that short cine after returning from the fade...she doesnt show up anymore.
Some of the other companions go missing and sometimes they come back but its random, sometimes they just dont come back at all either.
