I just slew the High Dragon Hivernal and realized that there was no Amulet of Power for Iron Bull in the loot. Puzzled, I went on to slay Kaltenzhan only to find NO Amulet of Power for Varric in the loot. Just prior to letting Inquisition update to patch 5 last night, I killed off everyone's favorite Choice Spirit, Imshael and did in fact receive the Amulet of Power for Cole (still in inventory). Out of curiosity, I went back to the Still Ruins in the Western Approach as I knew there was still an unopened chest with an Amulet of Power for Dorian. Surprise! No there wasn't. The chest contained only a banner and a spirit rune, no Amulet of Power for Dorian.It looks like the patch may have had the unintended consequence of breaking ALL of the Amulet of Power drops. However, even if you unpatch it, I still can no longer get my Amulets from killing Hivernal and Kaltenzhan. Edit: Just tried the Inquisition Perk, at least we still get an abilities point for that.Update: Just defeated the Venatori Overseer in the Hissing Wastes, and while I did get the staff Bloodwake, there was no Amulet of Power for Dorian.Update 2: For those that are interested, I just killed the Sandy Howler in the Hissing Wastes, there should have been an Amulet of Power drop for Varric, there was not.Final update: No Amulet of Power for Solas in the Temple of Mythal .

Some require certain choices to be made, or which path taken. Expected amulets are from war missions that I have not done yet. Of interest for the inquisitor, depending on choices, you may only have access to two amulets of power. Three is the most you can have now, and that assumes you make certain choices in the Winter Palace and a war mission reward is successful. Many companions can expect only have 1 amulet of power now: Dorian, Blackwall, Cole, Sera, and Solas. Vivienne, Varric, and Cassandra may have two, but Cassandra's depends on choices made with templars vs mages.Basically, about half were removed.

Fixing an exploit over fixing actually problems is absurd and downright insulting.

@arkngt Lol, I know it isn't by design, it just feels like it sometimes. I've been playing DA since Origins released November 3, 2009 and we keep going through the same thing. My primary annoyance is that major malfunctions, such as the inherent memory leak problem with DAO, never seem to get fixed.Seriously, I would much rather the broken quests and GPU crash issues in Inquisition get fixed than having cosmetic fixes. Did the amulet exploit impact anyone or cause serious game play issues? Not that I'm aware of; personally, if people want to play that way, then whatever floats their boat.

Bad enought u guys * the game up by not allowing us to access all of our spells during battle and when u command your teammates to hold position they dont stay they once you move. Fix this * game!!!! The first was perfect and the second was a little less perfect in regards to the limited spells there were compared to the first n now all this bull *. Like stop making game series if your gonna take away thing we had in previous games. I thought games were supposed to get better as they carried on a series, not shittier. If things aren't fixed im not even gonna bother with the downloadable content when/if any comes out, let alone keep playi g the series. And i love these games so plz fix it and stop being lazy * who care nothing more than profits of a games series being exploited. And if you guys aren't about exploitation of a story you made * prove it. Cuz as it sit i dont wanna even continue playing this game

No fix for this issue in Patch 6? OK, uninstalling DA:I now. And I'll be spending the money for the new DLC on something else.Good job, EA/Bioware. VERY good job.

The first was perfect and the second was a little less perfect in regards to the limited spells there were compared to the first n now all this bull *. BUMP to Keep Topic Alive
Thanks to Bioware's, oh so helpful, Patch 5, several amulets of power have been removed from the game. I am not talking about simply taking steps to prevent exploitation (such as removing excess items from a loot drop), I mean to say that legitimate treasure drops that are supposed to include an amulet of power have been completely removed from play. For those of you who tend to plan ahead and factor in said amulets when speccing out your character (like, say, me) this is extremely frustrating.

Here is a partial list of the Amulets that have gone missing for Xbox One Patch 5.

Cassandra: Amulet of Power in Knight Captain Denam's room, gone.
Cole: Amulet of Power dropped by Ishmael: Gone.
Cole again: Amulet of Power in treasure chest next to him at the inn: gone.
Dorian: The Still Ruins: Gone.
Dorian Again: Amulet dropped by Macrinus of the Western Approach: Gone.
And the worst one (because it cost me 30+ shards): Amulet of Power for the Inquisitor after completing "The Cold Endured" in the Forbidden Oasis: Gone.

Maybe, if Bioware takes such exception to resource farming and exploits, they could tear themselves away from tinkering with the Multiplayer (which I know is difficult for them, because MP is where they turn a profit through the in-game purchasing of Platinum) and make crafting ingredients more readily accessible (perhaps by releasing the Black Emporium as they said they were going to do with Patch 5 and then didn't) those of us who are trying to keep the game fresh after several playthroughs wouldn't feel obligated to farm and exploit.

no Amulet of power for Sera after defeating Greater Mistral. Patch 1.6
May be developers just remove this items after dragon kill

Pillars of Ethernity is out. I am swithing and probably not coming back. I get to uninstall Origin and thats a bounus all by itself.

Note, they didn't even fix the exploit, they just removed the item from the registry. (See the mod that used to pre-patch 6 restore the Amulets of Power). The exploit still works fine.
Why it even needed fixing is beyond me. It is a single player game fix the bugs (and ACTUALLY FIX THEM) before worrying about exploits that have no affect on game play anyways since all it does is allow for more varied play per toon.
