PC: Unable to connect to multiplayer games: "..session lost"

My friend and I are both having this exact same issue, including the "session lost" looping problem.

We have also tried adding firewall exceptions, but it made no difference.

We can both connect to the DA:I servers without any problem, it is only the multiplayer host.

Have the same problem with my friends, cant play with them. So frustrating.

I'm also getting this error whenever trying to connect to a friend's private game lobby. I can't remember the exact error as I am at work currently, but it was something along the lines of, "Connection to the session lost" right after it tries to download the session data. It also throws me into the infinite loading loop, and I have to end the process to stop it.

Same thing happening to me as well. I hate seeing that 20 second loading back to the menu.

Sometimes you can also enter the game, then when the intro to the level finishes, you would get stuck on the black screen loading and would stay there forever. Or you can see the glitched map or players just stuck in place no way to quit but Alt-F4

Playing with 3 of my friends is a hassle as well, sometimes 2 of us can connect and the other 2 can't enter. Sometimes 3 can enter and the one guy can't enter at all even with different invites from us.

The most annoying part is that when hosting a lobby, you could get disconnected if one of your friend joins in, even when you are playing in game.

Other bugs also include skills not showing up in your skill bar when entering the game while hosting.

You can also get disconnected at any time in game cause a random player joins in and crashes the session.

Constant rubber banding also happens when you get matched with a high pinged player. Movement is so janky.

Why not add lag compensation of some kind? is that to hard or expensive?

DId they even test this game before releasing it? I mean beta test it by giving some of their employees or beta testers in other countries and testing networking that way.
Cause I think they only tested this game in house or in the same region. Or release a multiplayer beta to get better input and polish it before release.

Instead we get to be the beta testers once again.

Hoepfully they would patch this up this friday, the multiplayer feels very low quality as of the moment and they plan on milking players that way.
They should first fix connection issues so that they can lure in more players in multiplayer to buy their micro transaction.

As of now, it's turn off, the game is addicting in multiplayer but players wont put up with connection issues, bugs/glitches and latency headaches.

Seems like you probably should have started a new thread with your issues.  This post is about people not being able to connect to multiplayer at ALL.

Is no one else having this issue? This is very annoying and a big issue. Or is it just people wants to play single player first then multi?

I have not played singleplayer that much as I tried multiplayer first to get familiar with combat. I then tried single player and it's a much better experience cause of the knowledge I have acquired in coop.

But with this connection issue in Inquisition. It's getting annoying. Friends can't play together properly. Last time it took about 2 hours for us testing and figuring out how to get connected to each other. I mean we tried everything. But the constant disconnects and Downloading server data coupled with

inquisition lost connection to session issue. It's just irritating.

I'm having the same issue as well, I am just more patient and just kept trying until I can finally connect.

I am just also stating some issues you would encounter once you are able to connect. Cause once you entered a game session, the lost connection to session won't end there. It can still happen even when you are halfway through the map.

Can any mod address this issue? It happens to all but some just don't care and just don't play the multi ever again, but some people like me love playing the multiplayer of the game, but it's such a hassle connecting with friends and other people. I would recommend it to more of my friends but as of now I'm letting them hold off until this issue is fixed.

Hey guys! My friend that I was having trouble connecting to (aviac64, he posted here earlier) and I just managed to get a fix.

We had to not only add a firewall exception, but port forward the following ports. Afterward, we connected just fine.

I've been having this same issue with being able to connect with my friend and vice versa, we can connect to other people's servers just fine but to each other it will never connect. We have to connect to another persons game to play together. We've both added firewall exceptions and forwarded the ports with no success. Any ideas on how to fix this?
