Re: Help with the voice change issue. ( possible spoilers)

As I understand it the Hawke quest pushes forward the main storyline, but doesn't affect sidequests. Perhaps varric's personal storyline won't progress if you don't meet Hawke yet, but I haven't personally done much of it.
