In both cutscenes and gameplay my game has awful fps. It doesn't matter if the graphics are on high or low it's just terrible. It's making me really mad because I just got this computer in August and it fits all the spec perfectly. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

Sorry for the late reply I stayed up half the night talking to EA tech people and what they said was my computer should run the game just fine and gave me a work around which really didn't help. They said there was something wrong with the game engine and right now there is no fix for this problem. But the good news is they know that a lot of people are having this problem and it should get fixed with an update or patch. I'm sorry I can't be more specific as to when but hopefully soon.

Okay so I just got off the phone with more Techs.They have gotten alot of complaints and they have now recognized an engine problem with the game. The EA rep told me the fix would take from 1 week-1 month since it is being done by the studio and they gave no time frame.Till then, we are stuck but here is one more temporary solution:>>Origin Tutorial:Step 1: Boot up OriginStep 2: Right Click on Dragon Age: Inquisition and select Game PropertiesStep 3: Paste-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+Step 4: Click Ok then Click PlayThats right, the previous temporary fix by one of us (a gamer) has been adopted by EA to tide us over until Patch. The EA rep said that this would do nothing if the problem is the ENGINE.

But they mention only "known problems for certain nVidia cards"I'm using AMD and it's not only cut scenes that is the problem, the game overall is unaplayable.

Also, everyone needs to make sure they go to the first post and click on "Me too" under "_ people had this problem" so the problem can get noticed as quick as possible.

I also talked to multiple techs yesturday. Cool people. Anyway, the problem could not be solved but here are some things that could help:Obviously after you fiddle with the graphics settings like turning off SSAO, etc. AS WELL AS closing all non-essential background programs 1. Control + r for run program. Type in msconfig. Under selective start up, uncheck Load Startup items then go to Services tab and check the 'Hide all microsoft services. Then Click disable all, apply and Okay. It will ask you to restart and go ahead and do that. Boot up the game and see if it works better.2. Reinstall game, retry game.3. Try playing the game under another User with Administrator rights.4. Clear out Browser cache from beginning of time and retry the game.5. Defragment your drive using Piriform Defraggler, then retry game.None of these steps helped me but they could for you. Plus any technician is going to try and troubleshoot the problem by going through some of these with you anyway.As for a patch, I am waiting for an official BIOWARE patch for DA:I and another NVIDIA driver update since the last one didn't work for me.

I'm wih ya there buddy. My specs are also above their mimum and I'm only running 10-20 FPS. Very very frustrating.

Thanks it's nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem. It is literaly unplayable right now which is so frustrating.

I had a similar issue. My computer exceeds all specs, but was unplayably laggy even on low settings. Hell, the audio would hang on the loading screens. My solution required me to override the built-in crossfire profile for my graphics card and force the game to only use one GPU. Hopefully, either Bioware or AMD will release a patch to improve Crossfire performance in the future. For now, I'll have to settle for using only half of my computer's graphics potential.

AMD FX-8150 at 3.9 Ghz (8-core)
16gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD6990 Dual-GPU graphics card with 4gb graphics RAM.

I am playing on the Xbox 1 version and I am running into the same problem. Not to mention the game freezes up after you aquire the two new characters after the bridge scene.

I'm with you there. I'm well above minimum specs and it's very choppy. I dip into the teens and single digits sometimes, which shouldn't be happening on "medium" graphics settings. I also get texture flickering and strange graphical artifacts flashing around during cutscenes. I suppose the only thing to do is wait for new drivers and game patches.

I am also having this problem. Awful, awful lag and stuttering -- sound and graphics both. I'm in the recommended specs range (Windows 8.1, Intel i5 quad core @ 3.4ghz, AMD Radeon 7700 series -- can't tell you the exact model, I'm not at home -- 8GB system RAM and DirectX 11). I have tried updating to the newest driver, made no difference whatsoever.

It sucks that this is happening, but at least I don't feel so bad now that I know I'm not the only one.

Wouldn't hold your breath. It's rare for games to get fixed post launch, when they do it's usually smaller things and over a long period of time.
Would love to be wrong here though, really hope I am wrong lol.

Thanks for the only hopeful bit of info we've had so far. Let's hope they are legit working on it. It's simply terrible as is.
