Was talking with my partner about this last night, and really it feels incredibly silly that the Lucanis Fade sequence is locked off to files where you save Treviso? Those events are so far removed from each other, the Fade sequence doesn't feel romance-specific, and it adds some much-needed depth to Lucanis that apparently isn't there if you save Minrathous. There's some easy ways to add depth to Lucanis for every player.
But end of the day, yeah, Lucanis really needs some completely updated scenes. Actually acknowledging the romance and adding scenes where it develops (even if it's only Mutual Pining for a while) would be amazing.
He needed better treatment overall.
I played through the Treviso arc on my final playthrough and I just don't even understand why he's here. He's not good at being an assassin. He misses three times, one of them being a venatori mage, and he supposedly got his nickname from slaughtering them wholesale. Teia has to complete that kill, which is badass, but again why did we get Lucanis instead of Teia? He has yet to actually assassinate anyone by my count, and he got one of our party members killed. That's not how his story should have gone.
The writers really went out of their way to drag out the MSQ at the expense of the characters' personal stories.

The scene where he misses killing the venatori mage really sent me over the edge. Like of course it's difficult to kill a god, but to miss twice and THEN to fail to single-handedly bring down the one thing you're best at killing was buck-wild.
