For me it's not even that the romances feels lack luster. I've found my preferd is Davrin as he atleast feels like he wants to be with Rook. It's more the lack of any feeling of inclusion in your companions lives. You can support them, tell them your there for them but they never show the same for you. Nev is alway so garded and flipent it irks me no matter how supportive you are there is no pleasing her. I've never felt so disconnected form my companions in a BioWare/EA game all the DA and ME games to this point have always made me feel invested in the companions to the point of tears for deaths in ME3. But not in this one. Don't get me wrong I realy like the game but I'm not sure the game likes Rook.
