Signing my name to this cause. There's some bare-minimum things that could be done (like you said, missives, or unlocking the Lucanis romance), but I'd love to see some honest effort put into polishing the romances that are there. The Lucanis commitment scene is incredibly sub-par. It feels very middle school. I don't even need steamy make-outs (although....) from a commitment scene, but some emotionally vulnerable discussions about "What are we" actually acknowledging commitment would be nice.
Having more time to think about it and watch the Lucanis/Neve romance happen, I don’t think that commitment scene was even meant to be Rook’s. They made the “Lucanis tells Rook he’s interested in Neve” scene the same one as “Lucanis and Rook become exclusive by…bantering vaguely about dessert???” Making the player share a commitment scene with an NPC is…not a great feeling, and contributes to the overall feeling that Lucanis prefers Neve to Rook.
Lucanis is definitely missing content, 100%. The weird jump after his personal quest when he says he has other plans and he just…sits down and drinks some coffee? The Spite coffee date seems like they just reused the assets/poses from the Illario/First kiss banter scene. Rook sharing Neve’s scene? His midgame romance feels like they patched a gaping hole with whatever they had on hand.

THIS RIGHT HERE 👆🏻 the fact that Rook gets to share a scene with a NPC is not just extremely lazy but also incredibly insulting for players. and the saddest part is that they could have easily fixed that, by making an extra scene for them actually having dinner with all the companions, and when everyone was left, they could chat more and MAYBE share their first kiss (because its just SO CLEAR that their kiss at the end scene was not their first, it’s way too intimate), like every other companion did. as i said before in this thread, I, as a player and as Rook, really felt out of place in this team, and romancing Lucanis sure didn’t help. don’t get me wrong, i adored his latest scene and the way he completely gives himself to you in the end, but it’s THE END, and they don’t even get a proper conclusive scene after beating the game (no one does, in fact, which is absurd). again, i hope they actually take the time to read some of these feedbacks and do something about it, but i'm not holding my breath.
