Dragon Age Veilguard PC (serious stutter and frame drops every 5 seconds)

There is definitely a bug or something. I have downgraded every Graphics setting to Low, turned every effect off, changed from 1440p 60fps down to 1080p 30fps and I get stutter about every 5 seconds....

Same problem here. I have dropped every setting (actually first started doing two or three at a time to try to isolate which one), and nothing affects it at all. I thought it might be the rain since sometimes weather can cause issues but I don't see a way to turn that off, and besides all the other graphics tuning should address that. And my PC is well over requirements. Since launch I've been having to restart the game every hour or so which seemed to fix it, but as of today I can't even play because it's like a stop-motion film. Really hoping this gets fixed soon.

    Hi @aearon09664 @realdante Would it be possible to get a dxdiag as well? Also to check have you added any mods to DATV?

        Hey @realdante Thanks for the file!

        Looking over your Dxdiag, do you have anything else running when you play Veilguard? The game requires 16 GB of RAM, so if your system only has 16 GB and you attempt to have other applications run you might notice performance issues. 

        Also to check, is DATV installed on your HP SSD or your Adata SATA drive?

      I will post a dxdiag when I have a chance. I do not have any mods added, although I did try the regedit fix (which didn't fix it). The only thing that has worked for me is to restart the computer. This is a pain to do every 1-2 hours, but it does get the game to run decently for a while.

      Hi @EA_Illium , here is a few seconds of video showing the issue, I wasn't sure how big a video to upload but this is how it is all the time. I have to walk instead of sprinting or it gets worse, and not look around too much. It seemed like the update helped a little, but then it's started again ☹️

      Edit: I now have to restart my game and/or computer about every 20-30 minutes.
