Cliff Climb chest error

Playing on an Xbox series S console and there's a chest on the Rivain Coast that won't bring up the RB prompt to be able to use a companion ability.

I think the area is called Cliff Climb, it's the area you have to climb up to and there's a wooden walkway with Venatori attacking you. Below the walkway and to the left, back towards the main area, there's a building with a crack in the wall - inside is a barrel you're supposed to blow up with a companion ability.

No matter the angle I use, how close or how far I am, the button prompt will not appear and I cannot access the chest. I have watched videos of people doing it, so aware of what should happen. I have loaded in several times and visited at several different points, it doesn't matter. Thanks!

Yeah, I also have that problem with the same chest.

  • I am playing on PS5 and the Cliff Climb chest on the Rivain Coast likewise can't be opened because no matter how I move my character, the button prompt won't appear.

  • I'm having a problem with that chest too playing on PC. The companion ability needed to trigger an object to make the chest accessible is not coming up as an option when I press tab, no matter how I align with the crack.

Hug the wall and be with your Rook just left of that crack.
This is how I got it to work after struggling for a while.

I have hugged that wall to the left of the crack moving slowly and still get no rb prompt. No matter how I stand at that crack (whether facing towards it, left or right) I am not getting the prompt.

This worked for me, on PC. I jammed Rook right up against the wall and then jiggled a little and moved the camera around and after a couple of tries finally got the wheel to recognize that there was something for Taash to interact with. (This was after spending a ludicrous amount of time yesterday during their personal quest climbing around, jumping off things, etc. to try to either get it to recognize the interactable or let me jump in.)
