Crashing after updating to patch 1

Me too, I have a 3080 and it went from crashing every 1-2 hours to every 5 minutes. I've already tried verifying files, reinstalling drivers, etc.

Same here. Played 38 hours before and now unable to even launch the game after patch 1.

I can load into the game but every time I load a saved game it crashes. 

I have same problem. Game crash after save. I cannot play. 

Having the exact same issue. The patch has made this game unplayable.

I've been dealing with my PC resetting as well. Try disabling the hair strands. That seemingly helped me. 

I've been having intermittent crashing since the game released, but since Patch 1, it has become unplayable.

I've tried it on Ultra, High, and Medium settings, with Hair Strands on and off, and nothing has improved it whatsoever -- and that's if the game boots up at all. I eventually just downpatched, and that has fixed the unplayable rate of crashing from Patch 1, though I'm back to the intermittent crashing I was experiencing before.

My PC has an i9-14900K and RTX 4080 Super with 128gb of RAM; I feel like I should not be having these kinds of issues.

This is the same for me. I had no issues with the game, had roughly 32 hours in so far, and the game crashes and reboots PC every time I log into it. Not sure what has been done in the patch but it has made the game completely unplayable. Very rarely do I get and come on a forum as king is this being looked but I'd really like to know as I was enjoying my gaming time I had set aside.

OK so I finally managed to get mine working again. My issue it seems, that after I was able to get past the shader verification boss, the game had rest all the graphics settings onto ultra, which my PC just can't handle. I hadn't initially checked these as hadn't expected the patch to change them. After changing them back to ones I was using prior to the patch, I had no further issues.
