"Diagonal Lines" moving across image during gameplay
Hello, I've noticed a strange issue when playing the game where there appear to be something akin to "scan lines" or diagonal lines moving across the screen. It's especially noticeable when slowly panning the camera and looking at darker areas. Though it is also visible with the camera still. It's hard to take a picture of, but looks something like the image I've at the bottom of my post (credit to /u/blueprint92). I have exhaustively tried to resolve this issue by modifying game settings, Nvidia Control Panel settings, and TV settings (I am playing on an LG C4 OLED). The issue is present across the entire image but particularly noticeable during darker scenes (for example, in the very first area of the lighthouse with the mirror and chest after the prologue).
I am playing on a well-maintained system that I built less than a year ago. It is running a very fresh install of Windows 11, with windows and all drivers up to date. I do not experience any artifacts or aberrant behavior in any other games that I play on this system and TV. Therefore, I believe it to be an issue with the game itself.
Troubleshooting steps that I have tried include:
- Changing from borderless window to fullscreen and trying different refresh rates (59.97, 60, 120, etc.)
- Disabling/Enabling G-Sync/VRR on both the TV and NVIDIA app.
- Disabling/Enabling V-Sync in-game.
- Changing all graphics settings to low (in case this was due to some kind of post processing).
- Disabling all ray tracing effects, upsampling, dynamic resolution scaling, and anything else that might possibly affect the image.
- Disabling HDR in windows and in the game.
- Setting Color Depth Output to 8BPC, trying YCBCR 4:4:4, Limited/Full Depth in the Nvidia Control Panel.
- Trying another 4K monitor (the effect was less visible, but it was there. Seems the panel on my C4 exacerbates the issue and makes it far more noticeable).
- Completely powering off all devices (unplugging them)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, though I believe this to be an issue with the game and am hoping that someone from EA/The Bioware Team sees this and can possibly escalate this for investigation. I have a technical background and would be more than happy to assist with any further troubleshooting. This issue is very distracting and impeding my ability to enjoy the game. Thank you!
