I have the same problem and it got as far as having a cursor but nothing else before crashing. I run a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1115G4 @ 3.00GHz and I refuse to buy a better laptop just for one game. I even tried to start the game up right when my computer gets into Windows. I've updated everything, repaired the game, uninstalled it, reinstalled it and can't even get to the settings to change anything about the game.

Hey KiwiSimmeon and noelia_gin Would it be possible to get the following information?
- EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag):
- Which platform or client are you on?
- Are you getting an error message?
- If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
- If on PC, please share a DxDiag file and an EA app Error ID Number

- EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag): EA: noelia_gin, noelia_g on steam
- Which platform or client are you on? Steam
- Are you getting an error message? no
- If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip... it's basically a dark screen and then it shuts down immediately, clipped what happens
- If on PC, please share a DxDiag file and an EA app Error ID Number: dxdiag attached

- Are you getting an error message? It just gives a black screen before closing out. All my things are updated.

Just an update, my Bios is up to date. I also tried the shader cache deletion method. Game still crashes while in play every 3 minutes or so (I'm on steam).

I even lowered my graphics to medium and same thing.

I have also followed everything in this section and no dice. Got it to work for all of 10 minutes. I have a 4090 card and no dice. No error codes either. It just black screens that wont load. such a disappointment

The game I've seen when running is using an absurd amount of memory. It's quite crazy how much is being used. 17 mil was the last I saw before crashing.

I manage to get the shaders to load. I can also get through the character creator and was able to play through the prologue. At the end of the last sequence, the game crashed for the first time. I was only thrown back to the desktop. When I tried again, I got a bit further until suddenly everything hung and my entire system restarted. I then updated the AMD driver, but with the same result. I was in a dialog, suddenly sound stuttering and suddenly a complete reboot of my entire system. I don't know what the problem is, and there is nothing in the Windows event log except for “The service ‘AMDRyzenMasterDriverV27’ was not started due to the following error: The system cannot find the specified file.”
The problem is that the error always appears when the system is restarted and I have never installed this AMD Ryzen Master myself. Could this be related to this? And if so, how can I fix it? - TaiedNewcomer
Game keeps crashing. Deleting shader cache folder only worked once but then it crashed in Character creator. Now every time I try to delete shader cache EA forces a game repair. I've never made it out of Character creator. Once when I alt-tabbed out I got an error message.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ AS THIS COULD BE SOLUTION!!!!
After doing some research i have found that there is an issue with verifying/generating the shaders part of the game which is causing the game to crash etc. What i learned was it is to do with our motherboard / bios settings. What you need to do is update your bios and it should solve that issue. I updated my bios (it is quite simple to do), i have no issues now. This is to do with computers running intel 13th and 14th generation and 4090 graphic cards etc. Please update your bios if you have these issues with these specs as it could resolve the matter. Good luck.

Okay, I think I've managed to solve my problem? I was able to play for 2 hours without crashing.
What I did for that:
I opened the Windows regedit (just search for it in the windows start menu) and searched for the following path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\
I then searched there for versions of “AMDRyzenMasterDriver”. I had V26 and V27 there. As already described, I had errors in the Windows event log due to V27. I then set the “Start” parameter of V27 to “4”. This means that the program is probably no longer executed during startup. (I am not a professional).
It is then absolutely essential to restart the PC and then check whether the entry has been retained. As I said, I have now been able to play for 2 hours without any crashes or errors. Of course, I'll have to keep observing whether it stays that way, but I'm in good spirits (for now). Also, I didn't get the error message for V27 after the startup. Si I think it is disabled now.
Maybe it will also help some of you. I've only had the error with AMD RyzenMaster V27 in the event log since Dragon Age Veilguard crashed my system completely. Whether it came from that or was triggered by something else, I can't say.

Nice, genuinely happy it’s working for some of you! Tho I don’t use AMD, I have Nvidia. Someone mentioned updating the bios, but I did that and same issue. EA_Illium do you happen to have an update into this, at least if the devs are prioritizing looking into this?

You know what I'm noticing? As I barely progress through the game, it crashes every time I discover something new to render, making me think it might be related to the shaders. Though, sometimes when I restart it crashes in the menu. I try to get in the game as fast as possible to skip the menu crash. Though these crashes are annoying, I am just gonna stop playing now and wait for a patch. Then restart the game from the beginning since I barely have an idea of the story.
It crashed when I find new items and immediately use them.
It crashed when I entered a new environment within a minute.
It crashed when the first ogre battle started.
Etc.
Deleting the shader cache, btw, did not work for me to prevent this.
