Saves won't open

I have been playing on my PC through EA Pass. Sometimes my save will open just fine. Sometimes it won't open and I have to restart again and again. Sometimes a save hours ago will open, but my character is a pre-made character and not the one customized by me. I have tried checking my save paths, repairing my game files, and running the game as administrator. I am loving the game so far, but wishing could get farther than the opening part.
