This functionality is actually already built into the EA app—at least, to some extent. When you go to redownload or reinstall a game and select the same installation folder where it was previously installed (for example, D:\Games\EA\Battlefield 2042), the app will detect the existing files. It will then scan them for any corruption and redownload only what's necessary. If everything checks out, it will simply prepare the game to be launched again through the EA app.
So yes, that’s how it currently works. That said, I do understand and appreciate the suggestion for a dedicated button—it could definitely make the process clearer and more user-friendly.
This is not the case. I am currently trying to get the app to recognize multiple installed games and the download just stays stuck at 1%. 2025 and you guys cant get your program to scan a drive?
