EA App Crashes and Freeze When Changing Game Installation Directory

The EA App consistently freezes and crashes whenever I attempt to install a game and change its default installation directory. As soon as the directory selection window pops up, the UI becomes unresponsive. Clicking anywhere on the panel immediately triggers a "Not Responding" state, causing the EA App to crash. already try to uninstall and re-install, still doesn`t works.

    Hey there, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your EA app.

    Since you’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, could you also try the following?

    • Clear the EA app cache through Help > App Recovery > Clear cache.
    • Close the EA app completely, then right-click it and select Run as administrator before trying to change the installation location again.
    • Make sure the folder or drive you’re selecting allows your Windows account permission to read and write files there.

    If the issue continues, it would also be helpful to know whether this happens regardless of which folder or drive you select, or only when choosing a specific location.
