When trying to install SimCity 4 to windows 10 I got the inevitable error. After searching for answers I eventually found windows was blocking it and there might be a way to redeem the registration key I got with my cd. Tried the key everywhere I could but kept getting an Invalid Key error. I can't seem to find any type of support besides this forum.
Where to go from here?

Community Manager@thedoggoman For these older keys, if they say invalid, you have to have support review them. A lot of older games run off older DRM licenses so you have to update that key if it's applicable.

@EA_ShepardI ran across this thread and thought, hey, I should try to see if I can redeem the key from my copy of SimCity 4 Deluxe - Rush Hour, purchased some 20 years ago. EA support wasn't too helpful. They said, please be advised to go to the place where you purchased the game to receive support.
Hm, well, that was twenty years ago in a state about a 9 hour drive from where I live now. Should I give up on this? It took about 40 minutes of my time because EA support chat was responding at a pace of about one response per 4 minutes.
