Trying to unlink Steam from account.

Question

I have been trying since 2022 to unlink an old EA account from my steam due to me losing access to a Gmail account. It is literally impossible to get back into that account since the 2FA is sent to that email. I know the password to the account and nearly everything associated with it but I have been told that since I cannot give the date I bought a game on that account which may be around 10 years ago, that I am unable to even JUST unlink thew steam account. This is causing issues with games I have purchased on steam that require launch through the EA app because it has to use the only account I can link to the steam. I do not want my old account back, I have already purchased some games again anyway but I would just like my new account linked to my steam. If anyone has any ideas that could help I would appreciate it.&nbsp;

it has been incredibly frustrating, I have provided proof of steam account ownership and if it weren't for 2FA I would be able to get into the account. I understand security but proof of ownership doesn't have to come from their script they are given solely. Had the same issue with Rockstar support but they eventually worked with me.&nbsp;

I am in a similar boat now. I must have linked my Xbox account to an university email 10 or so years ago. After 3 years, the email got deleted. I have no way of getting access to that email. I have this early access to Battlefield 6 and can't even use it. Very disappointing and unnecessary to say the least. No way of getting in contact with customer support either it seems
