hi!! im also getting this problem i cannot open my sims 4 game i keep getting 'An incompatible version of this game is installed on your device uninstall the EA app version to launch' 

i only have the sims downloaded in the EA app, its in my game library but i cant open it. please help me! ive tried so many things and this is my last resort 

For me I had it installed from Xbox Gamepass before I got it on steam. Because I had both installed at the same time it didn't launch. Just simply delete the one your not trying to launch from file manager and it should work. 

@Cheesenugg10 This is happening to me right now. Did you find a way to fix it and enter the game?

create a new folder and name the folder with the boken game, then move the data and patch files to the new folder, after that click install game in EA Launcher, it will automatically be repaired and good luck

What helped me and will 100% help you too. Here's my story: I played BF6 during a free weekend on Steam, then bought it on EA six months later. This error just wouldn't leave me alone — I moved folders around, reinstalled the launcher, reinstalled the game, tried everything. In the end, here's what I did:

1. Downloaded a good file manager — in my case, Everything.
2. Searched by name (BF6 or the full game title — in your case it could be anything: Sims, FIFA, etc.).
3. Every file that was created before today's date and matched the game name — I deleted it.

After that, the game launched instantly. The error disappeared the very same moment.
