@sprangsunt Try origin and check if the game will launch/install via Origin !
@sprangsunt, please don't do this, as games that have been bought/claimed via 3rd party launchers always need to be launched via the launcher where you purchased or claimed that game on. If you don't do this, it is possible that this will cause issues.
Could you completely remove BF2042 from your PC and remove Origin from your PC (preferably via a program like Revo Uninstaller in order to also remove any leftover files, own risk of course), reboot your PC, and download/install the game again via Steam? It should auto-install the EA app, which hopefully resolves this issue for you.
I used revo uninstaller to uninstall origin and bf2042 and I remove bf2042 from my steam account. Then I installed bf2042 again and the EA launcher, it didn't work. I signed out of EA and tried to log in with steam, it didn't work. Is it possible that there is a proble with the synchronisatio of my steam and EA account?

@sprangsunt, how do you mean exactly that you removed BF2042 from your Steam account?
It also looks like you're running into a different issue now. Could you take a look at this thread and see if the marked Solution also works for you?

I rightclicked on the game in my library=>properties=>remove from account, then I reinstalled the game. I tried the marked solution and it didn't work

@sprangsunt, you removed the game from your account, but did you also re-claim it via EA Play for Steam? - 3 years ago
Yes

@sprangsunt, could you try to download Apex Legends via Steam and open that to see if it works? If that works, check again if BF2042 works as intended. - 3 years ago
I already did. It didn't work.
