Battlefield Hardline via Steam does not open with EA Desktop

Summarize your bug I have Battlefield Hardline from Steam. If I launch Hardline, EA Desktop will launch in lieu of Origin and the game (via Battlelog) will still ask me to open Origin. When I try to open Origin, it will ask me to shut down the "Beta" version, which in this case is EA Desktop. Once I exit out of EA Desktop and open Origin, then I can play Battlefield Hardline. I cannot launch Hardline without Origin, and EA Desktop only prevents it from opening (though, I am able to open EA Desktop if Origin open prior to EA Desktop).
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make sure EA Desktop and Origin are not open or running at all. Open Hardline purchased from Steam.
