Maybe a weird request, but could you maybe reach out to the Live Support team (via https://help.ea.com/contact-us) and check with them if they can see if your Battlefield V EA Access (now called EA Play) entitlements have been correctly deleted from your account when your subscription expired? It could be that they are interfering with each other, if they are not correctly deleted from the account. This can happen sometimes, sadly.
I could try with them.

I got the same problem. Played BF V for a month through a free membership of XBOX game pass, deleted the game, and bought it through Steam.
Now it won't launch, reinstalled BF V and EA two times already, cleared the cache. Got 2 different error messages. Seems like it is a conflict in EA app determining which game launcher to use. The cache doesn't seem to clear it.

Purchased BF1: Revolution from Steam sale. Installed, ran - already had EA Launcher installed and no previous Origin install since reformatting computer.
EA Launcher opens, and ONLY states "Temporarily lost connection. You're currently offline. Check your internet connection while we try to connect you (this may take a moment). RESTART APP.
No troubleshooting has been effective in fixing this. Have changed UTF-8, disabled firewall and security, added rules, ran as admin, etc.
Literally a loop and has never presented a login screen. Created bug report and ticket with EA (as well as Microsoft) this afternoon.
