Trying to narrow this problem down, I restarted the EA App and the whole computer multiple times, including launching my game with and without the EA App already open, and finally the overlay remained disabled. I've no idea what finally made the setting stick. I really hope it stays disabled for good now.
F^&%*^$#%^K!!! The overlay turned itself back on again. 😞
This is happening to me as well. How is this not worthy of an emergency hotfix? This is EXTREMELY annoying and NEVER welcome. This is always the FIRST thing I turn off on any app.
