In-game overlay DOES NOT STAY DISABLED. No one needs to have to re-disable every time the app decides to enable it for no reason.

FIX. THIS.
Trying to narrow this problem down, I restarted the EA App and the whole computer multiple times, including launching my game with and without the EA App already open, and finally the overlay remained disabled. I've no idea what finally made the setting stick. I really hope it stays disabled for good now.

This is happening to me as well. How is this not worthy of an emergency hotfix? This is EXTREMELY annoying and NEVER welcome. This is always the FIRST thing I turn off on any app.

Summarize your bug The EA Launcher in-game overlay renables itself in some scenarios. I usually experience it when one of my games (Apex Legends) get updated, but also sometimes randomly and I cannot pinpoint what is the exact cause. There might have been a few times where my game is updated and in-game overlay does not get renable by itself. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? As written in the bug report in the github link: You know, I don't even know. I tried to find out what the causes were but it's not consistent.
What happens when the bug occurs? EA Launcher's In-game overlay keeps being reset/renabled by itself in certain situations.
What should be happening instead? EA Launcher's In-game overlay *STAYS* disabled or enabled by the user's preference.

This has been a major issue for me as well, it is constantly turning itself back on after I've disabled it. This causes issues when I play games cause when it's enabled it makes my mouse move off screen and click on my second monitor minimizing the game I'm playing. Huge problem in things like Apex
I think I had this somewhere but I'm not sure. Adding that this causes undesirable side effects. The cursor is displayed and does not stick to the center of the screen when this is enabled. As DitaPlays_TTV added, this causes a problem in Apex Legends.
