Can’t Install EA app on Windows 7 – Error INST-21-25006

Honestly, Speedster370BG, spare me the patronizing bullcrap.  I work in the industry and there is ALWAYS an option that can allow those on older platforms to still get/play what they paid for, while also relieving them of the burden of pushing updates to that iteration.  The onus of security then falls to those who play/still use their chosen OS.  That said, while it might make sense for EA to abandon updates to Win7, then why force your customers to still use the gating platform to access, again, what they paid for.  If they don't want to support it, fine, then allow your customers to use their purchased game(s) unimpeded by your gating platform.   And trust me when I say EA has no horse in the race to 'force you to upgrade' when it comes to what version of Windows you use, it's purely what they choose to support, beyond that, they could clearly care less.  Furthermore, with all due respect to those who choose to use Linux, offering the idea of installing a whole different OS, including, in some cases, having to use yet more additional software just to get some games to play, is hardly offering any kind of 'reasonable' solution whatsoever.

Just to be sure, you installed the latest MS Visual C++ Redistributable?

I’m on Windows 7 too, and I’m getting this error INST 21 25006 when I try to reinstall the EA app. If I buy a product from you one day and can’t use it the next, isn’t that basically a scam?

I’m not interested in your policies or excuses. Fix the issue, or you’ll be answering to the media, consumer protection agencies, and possibly the courts.

Jděte do haje! Koupil jsem si u vás hru a když vás upraví ji nemůžu už použít. Mám veškeré potřebné specifikace PC, které hra vyžaduje, a vše perfektně fungovalo 8let až do vaší špatné úpravy. EA si už nekoupím.

EA_Aljo​,EA_Leeuw​  This is not an acceptable response!! We have paid a lot of money for these games, if the games run on Windows 7 we should still be able to play them. You need to get us a work around to run without the ea app. JuqqernauT07​ provided what I think could be a good work around. Simply telling us that you’re sorry but ea will no longer support Windows 7 is poor customer service. We are still customers, you took our money with no trouble! Leaving us with no work around could be considered stealing from your customers. 

thankyou for getting back to me, apologies for my tone.. the downloader installs but when i try to run it it loads for a minute then it says cant install error code inst-21-25005. its the same if i run as administrator. ive tried every fix in this thread so far, and short of factory resetting my computer im not sure what else to do. do you know if is this a hardware issue with my computer or something on EA end?

What is happening when you try to download the EA App?

hello please dont just bury this in a thread i have a different issue here, different error and i have fully updated windows 10 and 64bit so this is not helpful to me at all
