Can’t launch my game They Are Billions via EA App

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue when trying to launch "They Are Billions" through the EA App.

Each time I click "Play", I get this error:

"The game could not be launched due to an error on our end."

I originally purchased the game on Origin, and it is correctly listed in both:

My EA App library
My purchase history

However, since the migration from Origin to EA App, the game no longer launches.

Here's what I’ve tried:
Cleared EA App cache
Reinstalled the game
Launched the .exe directly as administrator
Checked permissions and install path
Verified firewall/antivirus settings
Fully uninstalled and reinstalled EA App (including deleting all EA-related folders from AppData and ProgramData)
Made sure I'm logged into the correct EA account

None of these resolved the issue.

Support problem:

I attempted to open a support case, and one was created. However:

When I click on “Resume Case”, it just redirects me to troubleshooting articles
I’m unable to upload files, continue the conversation, or reach a support agent
The ticket seems stuck, and I’ve been warned it will close automatically unless I take action — which I can’t

Could this be a licensing issue caused by the Origin → EA App migration?

I would appreciate any assistance, or for this case to be escalated to someone who can manually verify the license on my account.

Thanks in advance.

I recently had the same error. I've had the game for a few years now, and I don't think it's due to a licensing issue. It could be an internal issue with the servers, which are no longer supported by EA, because the game is completely normal on Steam.

    Hi everyone,

Here’s a summary of what has been tested and the outcome:

    - Cleared EA App cache → no change
    - Reinstalled the game → same error
    - Ran the game’s .exe as administrator → same error
    - Checked folder permissions / install path → no effect
    - Disabled antivirus / firewall → no effect
    - Fully uninstalled EA App and deleted all leftover folders (AppData + ProgramData) before reinstalling → issue persists
    - Confirmed correct EA account (game shows in library and purchase history) → still not playable

    Support situation:

    - Tried opening a support case → clicking “Resume Case” only redirects to generic troubleshooting articles.
    - No way to add attachments, continue the conversation, or get help.
    - Tickets are dead ends and eventually auto-close.
    - EA doesn’t reply on the forums.
    - Their @EAHelp Twitter/X account is just a useless chatbot that doesn’t provide real answers.
    - At this point it’s basically impossible to reach a real person at EA about this issue.

    So right now:

    - The game is recognized on the account,
    - But it’s not playable, and EA provides no working support channel.
