Cannot link EA account to Steam account "There's been an error"

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1) Open EA app 2) Select the Steam icon 3) Sign in to Steam account on the Steam Community page 4) Select "Allow" on the following page 5) If you are taken to a page that says: "There's been an error. Your EA credentials may have expired, please try again or reset your password," you have replicated the bug
What happens when the bug occurs? I am instructed to reset my password. I have done this several times. Each time it asks me to reset it again.
What do you expect to see? I wouldn't know, I've never tried to link an EA account with a Steam account before.
My Steam account name, as well as my email account, do not contain bizarre or special characters. My Steam account is not an underage account. I have the same exact issue on help.ea.com. I am not using a VPN. This happens when I attempt to log in using a private browser as well.
