had a thread up about this a week ago... EA collected info and closed the thread after a week saying

"Hi everyone, 


Thank you for your reports! We got a lot of good information out of this thread, so I am going to go ahead and lock it for now. 

If you're running into any issues with EA Play in the EA Desktop client please feel free to create a new bug report. Thanks again!"

No other information was given... nothing saying they were going to fix it... when... if... nothing...

      start the download with a vpn that worked for me
