INFO Hello everyone, Thank you for continuing to report the "The app crashed unexpectedly" and "Background Services Crashed" errors on the EA app for Mac. We've heard from some players that updating your Mac to the latest macOS version, including incremental updates, can resolve the issue. Additionally, some users have found that a simple restart of their machine helps. Updating the client For those still experiencing the problem after trying these solutions, we've released a new version of the EA app for Mac (13.206) that will hopefully address the issue. The EA app periodically automatically checks for updates and will install this version when you next launch the client. However, if the EA app won't boot, you can download the latest version directly from https://www.ea.com/ea-app. We will also be releasing additional fixes in the coming weeks. was forced to switch to EA app on my Mac (Sonoma 14.4.1) and as expected, it is absolute trash. the app crashes instantly upon opening. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3x. first through origin, then through the ea site. it is absolutely mind blowing that these problems continue to exist, I cannot play a game I payed an obscene amount of money for. do better.

Today I opened Origin on Mac to play Sims4 but it forced me to download the EA app. I downloaded and installed the EA app but when I try to open it, I immediately get "The app crashed unexpectedly. @dianecapitoI faced with the same issue a week ago on my Mac! When I'm trying to launch my app I just keep getting an "The App crashed unexpectedly. We ran into a problem, but a quick restart should fix it." issue.

I’ve been stuck with the same issue on MacOS - the EA app immediately crashes when I try to open it. I’ve never successfully opened it. Did you ever find a solution? I’ve read through all the threads I can find on this issue but haven’t seen a solution

Hello! Ive been having problems opening the EA app on my MacBook. It was working perfectly up until 3 weeks ago and now I keep getting the same three messages pop up I will insert pictures.
Ive tried uninstalling the app, restarting and updating my computer, clearing up storage space, but nothing works! is anyone else having this problem or have any tips on how to fix it?

I transferred from Origin to the EA App and since doing so, I've been unable to open the EA App. I get a popup that says the app crashed unexpectedly. I've tried to redownload it multiple times, but that hasn't helped either. After redownloading and trying to open the EA App, I get the error code EC:104 then I restart the app and get the popup that says the app has crashed unexpectedly.
