can't download the sims 4, stuck on "preparing".

Is it possible to help me? I am downloading sims 4 again after a year and a half. Its been 4 hours since I started the download and it is still preparing?

    Hey @pinkvrel do you have any security software running that may be stopping it?

    I haven't played sims 4 for about a year. I re-downloaded it the other day. its still loading. it wont download. Its been two days since i started it. someone turned my laptop off and it stopped my download. even to cancel it is taking an hour.
