can't download the sims 4, stuck on "preparing".

I’ve tried everything I could but still it won’t continue downloading please someone help me I don’t know what to do anymore i even bought a new usb cable just for it that would be a waste of money if it actually not end up working

@Finesseundo I will let you know if I hear any good advice! my base game started downloading on its own after about two days, so I hope that happens for you too!
