Can't progress in game because of bug

I've tried to reset cache, which failed, so I uninstalled all add-ons and reinstalled them, cache still won't reset. I've restarted the EA app, restarted my Mac, tried to clear the cache again - still won't download, says there's an instillation error. I'm just trying to access the tower codes in journey to Batuu, I clicked 'retrieve the codes' and since then it's glitched and not let me progress, I've 'spliced' the panel 4 times hoping it'll let me progress but it isn't. I also clicked for technical support within the game but it leads to an internal error page. Been trying to rectify this for 2 and a half hours now, please help
