Can't see some of my online friends

Well
For a week i have been unable to see in my friends list 2 mates of mine which are definitely online. I can see other people but not them (no idea if this is valid for other friends).
We can even see each other the "other person is typing" in chat but no online status for them.
Everything is running smooth for them apparently the problem is on my side
(They have not set their status on invisible, we checked)

Already tried clearing the EA App cache, uninstalling the EA App.
Contacting EA support seems impossible since when i click on "start chat" i get thrown back to the "select your problem" page
It's been a week now.
