Case closed without removing 365-day Steam unlinking cooldown after account hack

Question

Hi EA Community Team,&nbsp;My EA account was recently hacked and linked to an unauthorized Steam account. I managed to secure my account and added 2FA with support (Case #250267787).&nbsp;However, the case was closed without resolving my main issue: I still cannot link my original Steam account due to the 365-day unlinking cooldown restriction.&nbsp;When I tried to reconnect via Live Chat, agents either disconnected or closed the chat session immediately without providing any help.&nbsp;Since this cooldown was caused by a security breach and not by me, I kindly request a Community Manager to escalate this case and manually clear the 365-day Steam unlinking restriction on my account.&nbsp;Thank you for your assistance.

Update: Live chat agents are greeting me and closing the chat within seconds claiming "inactivity" before I can even reply (screenshot attached). Case #250267787 is still unresolved. Could a Community Manager please escalate this to clear the 365-day Steam cooldown?

Sorry you’re dealing with that.
If the Steam unlinking cooldown was triggered after the account was compromised, I can understand why that would be especially frustrating. I’m also sorry to hear that live chat wasn’t able to help you much with this.
That said, account linking restrictions and cooldowns aren’t something we’d be able to change or clear here on the forums. Since you’ve already worked with support to secure the account, the next step would still need to be through the support team so they can review the account details directly.
If live chat hasn’t been helpful, you could also try using&nbsp;this&nbsp;webform instead.
