I have just merged all reports about the games "Not Currently Playable" on the EA app into one topic and we will do some investigating to see what is causing this.

Could you let me know what games are affected and provide some examples of games that don't show this message?

We will also need some Error Reports from the EA app.

Click the menu icon (it looks like 3 lines) in the top left corner of the app, hover over Help, then click EA Error Reporter.

Choose the Type of problem you’re having.

Tell us about the issue you’re having in the Description of problem box.

Check the box next to Share diagnostic information when report is submitted.

Click Submit report and wait for it to complete.

Write down your Report ID and share it in this thread.

Well, I tried uninstalling the EA App, and letting the Xbox app do it instead. Now, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate thinks Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order isn't installed, and when I try to install it, I get a pop-up "EA Something went wrong... head back and star over", and it keeps happening.

The game should still be installed!

After a lot of faffing about and following prompts and resetting the EA Play password, I logged in, and SWJFO is still "Not currently playable", so even though I've tried to link with the Xbox app, the EA Desktop App is stil cr-App.

Now what?

I've been having the same issue. Both Battlefield 4 and Battlefield V show up as "Not currently playable" while Battlefield 1 and 3 are both available to download for me.

I recently made an EA account to link to my Gamepass account so I can get access to EA Play games. I have successfully linked the two accounts and I have a little 'play' icon next to my account name in the app.
When I try to download Battlefield 5 from EA Desktop app (or from the Xbox app) it says "not currently playable" and does not let me click it. Other games like Plants Vs Zombies do let me download them.
From googling this seems linked to people having teen accounts. I have an adult account and I confirmed this by checking out my account settings on the EA account website. My PC gamepass account is also an adult account.
Any ideas?

I have the same/similar issue and spent about an hour with tech support installing/reinstalling both apps, clearing caches etc but unfortunately many games just say Not currently available and I cannot install them.

I have the same issue and I also found I could install 12 and below games but not 16/18 games. I also have an adult account and even tried creating a new ea account and relinked it to Xbox to see if that would help. And I spent an hour on the chat with tech support who ran me through the standard list of fixes which didn't help. So I hope someone is able to come up with a fix soon...

I'm also having the same problem. I was able to download Battlefield V yesterday but since then every game in the EA Play library is 'Not Currently Playable' meaning I can't even press download, let alone play the games.

I'd love to investigate this for you but I need some more information.

Do you get to see this for every game on the EA app or only for some? Would you be able to share a screenshot too so that we know what you get to see?

For issues like these, a good first step is to clear the cache via Help > App Recovery, please give it a try and let me know if it makes a difference.
