Controllers not working with Steamlink and EA app

I understand that @A8e5 but as it's an issue using a third-party app then there's not much we can do.

How is a third party issue, when I can by the game on steam?

    Managed to get it working. You have to add the EA desktop app to steam not the game you want to play. It will then open the EA app and you will have to select which game you want to play but as far as I can tell the overlay works.
